Simple process

Three steps to a safer situation.

For urgent active sightings, calling is the clearest way to get in touch.

Move away

Keep people and pets clear. Don’t approach, touch, or attempt to contain the snake.

Call or enquire

Call for an active sighting. Share the address and where the snake was last seen.

Stay clear

Keep the area undisturbed while you wait for guidance. Do not assume it has left if it disappears.

Good to know

Questions people ask first.

Should I try to identify or move the snake?

No. Keep a safe distance and do not touch, corner or try to catch it. Identification can be difficult even from a photo.

What details should I share when I call?

Give the property address, the snake’s last known location, whether it is inside or outside, and whether anyone is in immediate danger.

Does submitting an online enquiry confirm an appointment?

No. The form prepares an email or text draft on your device. You must review it and press Send; the website does not receive or store it. It is not an appointment confirmation. For an active sighting, call directly.

What if a person is bitten?

Call Triple Zero (000) immediately and follow the operator’s instructions. Do not attempt to catch or kill the snake.
